Sneak Peak – Wilson Tour V6 Raw Irons
Wilson Golf is introducing a new limited edition set of Tour V6 irons in a raw finish. These are forged from soft 8620 carbon steel and will rust over time, giving them each a unique patina that reduces glare and gives them an old school look. 8620 steel is also very soft and transmits a fantastic feel on solid hits. I have an old set of Cleveland irons and Hopkins wedges with the same finish and it’s very cool. Some company’s wedges are finished like this (especially on tour), so why not a whole set of irons too?
Wilson staff professional Troy Merritt will put the new Wilson Tour V6 Raw irons into play this week at the Travellers Championship at TPC River Highlands. The V6 Raw long and middle irons have a copper-colored badge and tungsten insert to lower the center of gravity for slightly higher launch. The 8 iron down are solid 8620. This limited run set is available with up to 30 different shaft options and will run you about $1100 for eight irons They are available at select Wilson dealers and online at Wilson.com.
