Mizuno Golf has long been known as a leader in forged clubs. I’ve spent a few days hitting the JPX-800 irons and I can tell you first off that these irons are long. So far after 18 holes and some time at the range I’ve come to the conclusion that they are about half a club to a full club longer than my current irons. They are also very forgiving. The large face, wide sole and generous perimeter weighting makes these irons easy to hit, but don’t expect much work-ability as this iron was designed for the 8 to 26 handicap range. They simply want to hit the ball high and straight.
