    Parform CDB Gum

CBD – The Hottest Three Letters in Golf for 2020. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, you’ve probably already heard of CBD. Everybody’s doing it, but not everybody is doing it right. What I mean by that is, the FDA is still studying this emerging market and so far hasn’t imposed many regulations pertaining to the manufacture and sale of CBD products, but they are still subject to the same laws and requirements as FDA-regulated products that contain any other substance.

    Caution: Science Ahead!

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is one of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). Even though CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is actually derived from the hemp plant, a cousin of the marijuana plant.

The market for CBD products has blown up in the United States since the 2018 Farm Bill that removed hemp from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act. Hemp is defined as cannabis and cannabis derivatives with very low concentrations (no more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis) of THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol – The main psychoactive constituent of cannabis that produces the “high” feeling.

It’s important to note that without THC – The presence of which usually determines its legality depending on which country or US state you are in – CBD does not produce a “high” like marijuana does.

According to the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

    What is Parform?

Like I mentioned before, everybody’s doing CBD, but not everybody is doing it right. One of the companies that is doing it right is called Parform. They are a group of health advocates and nutrition experts whose focus is golf-specific training and nutrition.

Among their popular nutrition products is one that I have been trying – Parform’s CBD gum. I’ve tried various CBD products in the form of tinctures, gummies, drink powders, lotions, creams and bars, but Parform’s CBD gum is maybe the simplest and most convenient way to get your CBD fix.

    Benefits of CBD Gum

    • Alternative to pills, capsules and liquids
    • THC Free
    • May help reduce inflammation
    • May help reduce anxiety
    • May help soothe general aches & pains
    • Fast Absorption
    • Consumer Friendly
    • For the 40% of people who do not like swallowing any type of pill

The benefits of CBD chewing gum mirror the benefits of all other CBD products. When the phytocannabinoids from broad spectrum hemp reach the bloodstream, they interact with and support the endocannabinoid system.

    CBD Isolate may help:

    • Support joint and muscle function.
    • Promote tranquility.
    • Support a good night’s sleep.
    • Promote healthy skin.
    • Support post-workout recovery.
    • Maintain a relaxed mood.

The acting of chewing increases some of the benefits of CBD. For instance, one study found that chewing gum increased overall alertness by 10%. For those (like me) who use CBD products for their mental clarity, chewing gum may actually be a more effective way of doing it!

Parform CBD gum is available in 10mg and 20 mg doses. The 10 mg version is offered in spearmint, peppermint and grape flavors, while the 20 mg dose is only available in peppermint flavor. Retail price for a 10-pack of the 10 mg is $19.99 and a 10-pack of 20 mg retails for $29.99.
