🏌️ Rory’s Caddie Wearing #1 Like It’s His Jersey Number

Harry Diamond is strutting around Augusta with a big fat “1” on his caddie bib because Rory’s the defending champ. Which is… fine?? But also gives off major “my dad could beat up your dad” energy from a 40-year-old man in a white jumpsuit. (source)

At least Rory backed it up with a 5-under opening round while making an “interesting equipment change” that apparently worked. Nothing says confidence like tweaking your setup right before defending your major championship and having it actually pay off.

🀬 Robert MacIntyre Learns Augusta Has Standards

Bobby Mac got so tilted during his opening 77 that he threw up an obscene gesture and got a talking-to from the green jackets themselves. The same tournament that makes patrons whisper and forbids running decided his middle finger crossed a line. Shocking!! (source)

πŸ’ͺ THREE Random Guys Outdriving The Science Experiment

Bryson DeChambeau β€” the man who literally rebuilt his body and swing around hitting bombs β€” is getting outdriven by THREE different players at Augusta. One of them ranks 90TH in driving distance this season. 90TH!! (source)

This is like getting dunked on by the benchwarmer. Bryson spent years turning himself into a golf cyborg, nearly destroyed his wrists, changed everything about his game, and now random Tour journeymen are casually bombing it past him at the one tournament that matters most.

Maybe the real distance was the friends we made along the way?? No wait, it definitely wasn’t. Distance is still distance, and right now Bryson’s getting pantsed by guys whose names you probably can’t pronounce. His nightmare 77 probably makes a lot more sense when you realize he’s getting outmuscled by the also-rans.

The funniest part? Bryson built his own 5-iron and was talking it up after his round like it was going to save his week. Brother, your driver issues are showing and no amount of custom iron work is fixing that (source).

πŸ₯Ύ Under Armour Drops “Limited Edition” Masters Shoes Because Of Course

UA released special Masters-themed golf shoes this week, asking if they’re “the best Masters themed footwear release of 2026.” The answer is no, because the best Masters shoe is whatever helps you not shoot 80, but thanks for playing. (source)

πŸ“Ί Brandel Chamblee Absolutely Torches The LIV Boys

Chamblee went scorched earth on Bryson and Rahm after their rough opening rounds, basically saying they’re soft because LIV doesn’t test them properly. “They’re not being tested, and so they’re not ready.”

Look, Brandel says a lot of things. But when the two biggest LIV names show up to Augusta and immediately face-plant… maybe he has a point?? You can’t cruise through 54-hole exhibitions with no cuts and expect to show up fresh for the pressure cooker that is major championship golf. The rust is showing, gentlemen. (source)

🎯 40% Of Top-20 Players Use The Same Putter

Eight of the world’s top 20 golfers are gaming the TaylorMade Spider putter. Either TaylorMade cracked the putting code or sheep mentality is alive and well on Tour. (source)

πŸ›οΈ 2027 Masters Tickets: Your Annual Disappointment Awaits

Golf.com helpfully explained how to apply for 2027 Masters tickets, because apparently people need instructions for entering a lottery they’ll never win. (source)

πŸŽ’ Harry Hall Panic-Switches EVERYTHING After Opening 77

Hall shot 77 in his Masters debut and responded by changing TWO drivers and his putter for round two. That’s not equipment tweaking, that’s equipment therapy. When you’re swapping out half your bag after one bad round, the clubs aren’t the problem, bestie. (source)

Anyway, Masters week continues to deliver the exact chaos we needed. Rory’s defending like a boss, the LIV boys are struggling to remember how real golf works, and someone’s about to spend $300 on Masters-themed shoes that won’t make them any better at golf.

Stay hydrated out there (unlike Bryson’s driving distance).
