2010 Ryder Cup – What’s In The Bag?

The 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales is over, and it was a thriller. Just when we thought the US Team was all washed up, (pardon the pun) they came roaring back during the Sunday singles to make it very interesting. It would be very easy to say Hunter Mahan choked with that chunked chip on 17, but it really was all but over at that point after McDowell drained his dramatic birdie putt on 16 to go dormie. (2 up with 2 to play) I previously predicted that USA’s Jeff Overton would be a liability and I’m glad I was flat wrong. Overton played great and handled the pressure like a veteran.

It was a great week, even if the weather didn’t cooperate and even created some wardrobe drama for the US Team. Congrats to the Euros, they played well and deserved a hard fought victory. Here’s looking forward to Medinah in 2012!
