Can you do this without getting wet?

I would like to take a few minutes to introduce my friend Scott Shepard, who’ll be sharing his fitness wisdom with us with a column here from time to time. I’m very excited to have Scott contribute to our site, as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. When it comes to fitness and injury prevention and recovery, he’s at the very top of the game. His work with well known professionals proves that. He has worked extensively with Seon Hwa Lee, the 2006 LPGA Rookie of the year, and  helped PGA Tour player Chris DiMarco recover from injury, as well as helping many other pros and amateur golfers, including yours truly.

Scott is a licensed physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist and one of the very few Titleist Certified Golf Fitness Instructors in Central Florida. He holds a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Florida, and currently has an office in Lake Mary, FL. He also consults with the Mike Bender Golf Academy. Mike is one of the top teaching pros in the country, and has been working with the likes of Zach Johnson and others for years. You can visit his website at www.planeperformance.com. I had the pleasure of going through an assessment with Scott and his program has helped me gain core strength and improved flexibility, both essential to good golf.

I hope you’ll stop by and have a read, and if you have any questions or would like to contact Scott directly, go to his website, email him at sshepmspt@hotmail.com, or call him at 407-222-7489. Thanks and enjoy!
